Artlogic hosts the annual Joburg Art Fair and St Leger & Viney are manufacturers of high end domestic furniture, wall fabric and wallpaper. Artlogic and St Leger & Viney collaborated to commission an artist to create a design suitable for the fair. The design should deal with the theme of Art and Industry.
A panel consisting of Melissa Mboweni, Karel Nel and Marianne Fassler, shortlisted Conrad Botes and Lawrence Lemaoana to create a textile design for the 2010 Joburg Art Fair. The artists were then asked to propose a design that would live beyond the fair.
