FNB Art Prize announced18 July 2011

The 2011 FNB Joburg Art Fair will host the inaugural FNB Art Prize. This award will honor the work of one artist per year nominated by galleries that participate in the Fair.

Each gallery will put forward an artist that they represent and a panel of judges will then select three finalists by considering the oeuvre and career of each artist. The work of the three finalists will be exhibited at the FNB Art Prize booth at the Fair where the judges will select a winning work. The winner will be announced on the opening night and receive a cash prize of R100 000.
